About Cammeray Golf Club

Cammeray Golf Club is a public-access nine-hole par-3 course at Park Avenue in Cremorne, New South Wales. Social tee times are available every day, including Saturday mornings. Current public rates are $30 for nine holes on weekdays and $40 on weekends, with junior rates of $18 and $24.

Origins

Cammeray Golf Club was created in 1906 by golfers associated with the Neutral Bay Tennis Club. The first course had six holes.

Did You Know?
The original greens needed fences to protect them from army horses and dairy cattle grazing in Cammeray Park.

Design Philosophy

The current layout was designed around compact, accessible par-3 golf, with shorter tee options intended to make the course suitable for beginners while still retaining challenge for regular golfers.

Development

The Warringah Freeway divided the old course in the 1960s, forcing a nine-hole redesign. A further freeway project resumed around 40% of the property from 2021, leading to another complete reconfiguration.

Recognition

The club is among the older surviving golf clubs in New South Wales.

Today

Cammeray now operates a nine-hole par-3 course open to the public with daily social tee times.
