Colony West Golf Club's Championship Course is an 18-hole public layout in Tamarac, Florida. Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge designed the course, which opened in 1971. Colony West's own history says its original configuration was a 7,553-yard par 72 built for the Jackie Gleason Classic.
After feedback about its difficulty, dozens of bunkers were removed; later changes associated with construction of the clubhouse reversed the nines and altered the course dimensions. The current Championship Course is listed by the club at 7,258 yards and par 71. It is distinct from Colony West's Glades Course, a shorter par-64 executive layout on the opposite side of Pine Island Road.
