Corrstown Golf Club is a member-owned 27-hole parkland facility at Kilsallaghan near Swords and Dublin Airport. The course is divided into three nine-hole loops, allowing different 18-hole combinations. The club describes itself as a product of the 1990s and credits Eddie Connaughton with the design.
Its origins lie in a member-funded project conceived in 1991 by Paddy Kelly and Tony McKeon, who sought land for a 27-hole club in north County Dublin. The founders ultimately acquired approximately 184 acres, with prospective members funding development through share purchases. Corrstown now welcomes visitors as well as members.
The course is a 27-hole parkland golf course. Designed by Eddie Connaughton, the course originally opened in 1990. It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. On-site facilities include Pro Shop, Restaurant, Bar, Clubhouse, Buggy Hire, Club Hire.
Paddy Kelly and Tony McKeon conceived the project in 1991 after becoming frustrated with pay-and-play golf and long membership waiting lists elsewhere. They sought enough land for 27 holes and eventually secured approximately 184 acres owned by Willie and Gordon Carter. Shares were sold to prospective members to fund the purchase and construction.
An inaugural meeting in March 1992 attracted hundreds of prospective members. Eddie Connaughton designed the 27-hole complex, which was developed as three separate nine-hole loops.
Corrstown remains member owned but welcomes visitors. The 27 holes are divided into three nines, including the River and Orchard courses, allowing the club to rotate playing combinations and maintenance.
