Cronulla Golf Club is an 18-hole member-owned golf club in Cronulla, New South Wales, with limited visitor access on specified days. Golf was being played in Cronulla by 1921, and a nine-hole course on the present site was officially opened by Sir William Vicars on 15 December 1923. The course expanded gradually to 12 and 16 holes before reaching 18 holes in 1957.
Major course works completed in 2010 introduced five new holes as the first stage of a course master plan. The current course tour lists Black, Blue, White, Green and Gold tees and a men's par of 70 from the longer sets. Visitors are presently accepted subject to availability on Mondays at 10am and Wednesdays from noon and must hold a current GolfLink number.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. The course originally opened in 1923. It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. On-site facilities include Golf Shop, Golf Lessons, Golf Cart Rental, Restaurant, Bar, Function Room, Clubhouse.
Golf was first played around Cronulla in 1921 on sandy ground between the Cronulla Hotel and the later club site. A company was formed to establish a permanent club, acquiring roughly 46 acres of largely swampy scrub. The nine-hole course on the present property was formally opened by Sir William Vicars on 15 December 1923.
Additional adjoining swamp land was acquired in the early 1940s. Through working bees and staged construction, the course grew from nine holes to 12, then 16, and finally 18 in 1957. Some spare land was later acquired for Woolooware High School and adjoining development.
Five new golf holes opened in 2010 as the first stage of the club's course master plan, and a recycled-water project completed in 2011 secured a long-term irrigation source.
Cronulla remains privately owned and controlled by its members, while allowing restricted visitor golf subject to availability and GolfLink requirements. The clubhouse is also operated as a broader hospitality and community venue.
