El Cardonal at Diamante is an 18-hole, par-72 course in Cabo San Lucas designed by Tiger Woods and TGR Design. It opened in 2014 as Woods' first completed golf course design. The routing was influenced by the older Southern California courses Woods played while growing up, with an emphasis on strategic choice, alternative lines and approach angles rather than prescribing a single route through each hole.
The course crosses natural arroyos, native dunes and established vegetation with long views toward the Pacific. El Cardonal became the host venue of the PGA Tour's World Wide Technology Championship in 2023 and remains on the event schedule; the PGA Tour lists a tournament yardage of 7,452 yards and par 72. Diamante is a private residential/resort community rather than a normal daily-fee public golf operation.
The course is an 18-hole resort golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,814m (7,452 yards). Designed by Tiger Woods and TGR Design, the course originally opened in 2014. It is open to members and their guests. On-site facilities include Golf Shop, Driving Range, Golf Academy, On-Course Comfort Stations, Clubhouse, Restaurants & Bars.
Diamante developed El Cardonal as its second championship course following the Davis Love III-designed Dunes Course. It opened in 2014.
Woods drew on the strategic characteristics of older Southern California courses from his youth. He has described the design as requiring golfers to make choices, with approach angles and multiple routes intentionally built into each hole.
El Cardonal subsequently became a PGA Tour venue when the World Wide Technology Championship moved to Diamante in 2023.
Its tournament role brought Woods' first course design onto the PGA Tour schedule.
El Cardonal remains one of Diamante's two championship courses and hosts the World Wide Technology Championship.
