The Dunes Course is an 18-hole, par-72 Davis Love III design at Diamante on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas. Opened in 2009, the layout is routed through large coastal sand dunes, repeatedly changing direction relative to the Pacific Ocean. The course measures approximately 7,160 yards from its longest published markers.
Diamante describes the routing as moving toward, alongside and away from the ocean, with holes dropping into the dunes and returning to elevated ocean views. The golf facilities associated with the Dunes include a 14-acre practice facility, golf shop, clubhouse amenities and course-side comfort stations. The course quickly gained international recognition after opening: Diamante records a No.

The Dunes Course was created as a central golf component of the Diamante development on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas. Davis Love III was selected to design the course and worked with a site dominated by large natural sand dunes immediately inland from the ocean. The finished course opened in 2009.
Love's routing deliberately changes the golfer's relationship with the Pacific throughout the round. Diamante describes holes playing toward the ocean, alongside it and away from it, with portions of the course dropping into the dunes before returning to elevated positions. The resulting routing uses the existing dune landscape as the defining element rather than treating the coastline simply as a backdrop.
The Dunes became the first of Diamante's major championship courses. The property subsequently added Tiger Woods' El Cardonal and the Oasis Short Course, making it important to treat the Dunes as a separate layout rather than combining information from the other Diamante courses.
The course received significant international recognition within its first decade. Diamante records that Golf Magazine ranked it No. 36 in the world in 2017 and that Golf Digest ranked it the No.
1 course in Mexico in 2016.
The Dunes remains an 18-hole Davis Love III course within the Diamante community. Supporting golf infrastructure includes a 14-acre practice facility, a dedicated golf shop and on-course comfort stations.
