Dye Fore is Pete Dye's 27-hole golf complex at Casa de Campo in La Romana. The course is divided into three distinct nine-hole loops: Chavon, Marina and Lagos. Casa de Campo lists the combined complex at 27 holes and approximately 7,740 yards for an 18-hole combination from the longest tees, depending on the nines selected.
The Chavon routing occupies high ground above the Chavon River, with several holes along cliffs approximately 300 feet above the river. Marina runs toward the Casa de Campo marina and Caribbean views, while Lagos adds extensive water features. The original Dye Fore course opened in 2003; the Lagos nine was added later, expanding Dye Fore to 27 holes.
The course is a 27-hole resort golf course. Designed by Pete Dye, the course originally opened in 2003. It is open to resort guests. On-site facilities include Golf shop, Golf Learning Center, Driving range, Practice facilities, Club rental, Golf carts, Villa, Suite, and 1 more.
Pete Dye's work at Casa de Campo continued long after Teeth of the Dog and The Links. Dye Fore was developed on high ground around the Chavon River and opened in 2003 as another distinctly different Dye course within the resort.
Rather than repeat the seaside character of Teeth of the Dog, Dye exploited elevation, river cliffs and inland terrain. The Chavon nine is associated with dramatic elevation above the river, Marina incorporates views toward the marina and Caribbean, and Lagos makes water a recurring strategic element.
Dye Fore began as an 18-hole course comprising the Chavon and Marina nines. Pete Dye later designed the Lagos nine, which expanded the complex to 27 holes.
Dye Fore is one of Casa de Campo's three principal resort golf offerings, alongside Teeth of the Dog and The Links. Its three-nine configuration allows different 18-hole combinations.
