PGA Ocean's 4 Championship Course is the full-length component of a 27-hole golf facility at Playa Nueva Romana. The championship course has 18 holes, par 72 and measures approximately 7,334 yards from its longest tees. It was designed and built by Maverick Golf, with Jack Lund identified by the club as the creator behind the concept.
The course opened in late 2017. Its routing was deliberately divided into contrasting visual and strategic environments, including holes beside the Caribbean, parkland-style holes around lakes and waterfalls, and sections using rock and sand to create a more arid character. Five sets of tees allow the playing distance to be adjusted.
The course is an 18-hole resort golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,706m (7,334 yards). Designed by Maverick Golf, the course originally opened in 2017. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Golf academy, Putting green, Clubhouse, Restaurant, Bar, Equipment rental.
The championship course was developed at Playa Nueva Romana and opened in late 2017. It later became part of the PGA Ocean's 4 identity through Grupo Pinero's relationship with the PGA of America.
Maverick Golf and creator Jack Lund organised the routing around four contrasting environments. Sections reference seaside golf, parkland settings around lakes, arid rock-and-sand landscapes and native Caribbean vegetation.
The golf facility contains 27 holes in total, but the Championship Course is a distinct 18-hole, par-72 layout. A separate nine-hole par-27 Executive Course serves shorter-format play.
PGA Ocean's 4 operates both courses together with an academy, practice green and clubhouse facilities.
