Eastlake Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 public-access golf course at Daceyville in Sydney's eastern suburbs. Its origins are tied to a 1928 lease granted to The Lakes Golf Club over part of the Sydney Water Reserve. A condition of that lease required construction of a separate 18-hole course for general public use.
The first nine holes of what became Eastlake Public Golf Course were ready in 1930, when Eastlake Golf Club was formed by a group of 30 members and associates, and the second nine followed by 1932. The club continues to accommodate both members and public golfers and publishes online visitor bookings and seasonal daily green fees. Golf Australia Magazine ranked Eastlake #51 among Australia's public-access courses in 2025.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. The course originally opened in 1930. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Pro Shop, Putting Green, Chipping Green, Practice Bunker, Golf Cart Hire, Golf Lessons, Restaurant, Bar, and 1 more.
The Metropolitan Board of Water Supply and Sewerage leased a large Gardeners Road property to The Lakes Golf Club from 26 September 1928. The lease required The Lakes not only to build its private course but also to provide an 18-hole course and basic facilities for public golfers on the eastern side of the property. The first nine public holes were ready in 1930, and Eastlake Golf Club was founded that year by 30 members and associates.
The remaining nine holes were completed and in play by 1932, establishing the full Eastlake Public Golf Course. The club subsequently developed its own membership while retaining public access as a defining part of its operation.
Golf Australia Magazine ranked Eastlake #51 in its 2025 list of Australia's public-access golf courses.
Eastlake continues to combine club membership with public bookings and seasonal green fees, with golf-shop, practice, dining and function facilities at Gardeners Road.
