Origins

Elks Run was developed as an upscale public golf facility in Batavia and opened in 1999. Greg Norman Golf Course Design was commissioned for the layout, using a 163-acre property of rolling hills east of Cincinnati.

Did You Know?
Elks Run occupies 163 acres and uses a creek as a recurring strategic feature on the back nine.

Design Philosophy

Norman's design uses the natural movement of the land rather than flattening it into a conventional subdivision-style course. Rolling and tiered greens, sod-wall bunkering and a creek on the back nine create much of the strategic challenge.

Recognition

Greg Norman Golf Course Design records a No. 8 ranking among Golfweek's Best Daily Fee Courses in Ohio for 2003. The course has also been recognized by regional golf organizations as a prominent Cincinnati-area public facility.

Today

Elks Run continues to operate as an 18-hole public golf course with online tee-time booking, practice facilities, instruction, a golf shop and food-and-beverage service.
