About Garden City Golf Club

Garden City Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 semi-private course northeast of central Phnom Penh. The club opened in April 2013 and credits Major General Weerayudth Phetbuasak as its golf-course architect. The course was constructed across approximately 240 acres of originally very flat ground, with shaping used to create large undulating greens and extensive water features.

The club's detailed course page lists five tee positions, with the Black tees extending to 7,361 yards, although another official club page describes the overall course as 7,258 yards; that discrepancy should be retained in the source record rather than silently reconciled. Garden City welcomes both members and visitors. Its practice complex includes a 36-bay driving range redesigned by IMG, plus putting and chipping greens.

The course is an 18-hole resort golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,731m (7,361 yards). Designed by Weerayudth Phetbuasak, the course originally opened in 2013. It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. On-site facilities include 36-bay driving range, putting green, chipping green, golf instruction, pro shop, restaurant, locker room, spa, and 8 more.

Origins

Garden City Golf Club was developed northeast of Phnom Penh as a semi-private club serving members and visiting golfers. Major General Weerayudth Phetbuasak designed the course, which opened in April 2013.

Did You Know?
The course was created by reshaping a largely flat site into a championship layout covering about 240 acres.

Design Philosophy

The original site was notably flat, so the design relied on substantial shaping to create movement, large greens, bunkering and water hazards. The resulting course has five principal tee positions and stretches beyond 7,300 yards from its longest markers according to the club's course page.

Development

The golf operation has been integrated with the wider Garden City development and adjacent Garden City Hotel. IMG Consulting has been involved in golf operations and the driving range was redesigned with 36 bays.

Recognition

Garden City's most significant tournament role to date was its selection as the official golf venue for the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia in 2023.

Today

The club remains semi-private, serving members and public visitors. Its official 2026 tariff offers 9-, 18-, 27- and 36-hole play, while caddie service is mandatory and carts are optional.
