Hills used the property's broad rolling landforms and Front Range setting to create an open layout with substantial elevation movement. The course includes 62 bunkers and several lakes. Heritage Eagle Bend forms the golf centrepiece of its surrounding residential community and operates alongside a large clubhouse and restaurant.
