Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course within the 1,200-acre Horizon Hills township at Iskandar Puteri in Johor. The club opened in 2008 and the course is credited to Australian architect Ross Watson, whose routing uses the site's naturally undulating terrain and substantial changes in elevation. The course forms the central recreational element of the wider Horizon Hills development rather than operating as an isolated golf facility.
The clubhouse was developed at a reported cost of RM50 million and includes more than 300 lockers, swimming pools, conference and seminar rooms, a ballroom, gymnasium, children's room and food-and-beverage facilities. Although the development describes the course as private, the club currently publishes visitor green-fee rates, including separate weekday, weekend/public-holiday and nine-hole prices, indicating that non-member play is available. The club's official site also publishes an individual page for each of the 18 holes, but the material retrieved in this research pass did not provide a complete verified tee-by-tee scorecard with course ratings and slopes.
The course is an 18-hole golf course. Designed by Ross Watson, the course originally opened in 2008. It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. On-site facilities include Clubhouse, Swimming pools, Locker rooms, Gymnasium, Restaurant, Cafe, Conference rooms, Ballroom.
Golf was incorporated as a central component of the Horizon Hills master-planned township in Iskandar Malaysia. The wider development covers approximately 1,200 acres and was conceived as a low-density residential development organised into multiple precincts, with the golf course occupying the core of the property. Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club opened in 2008.
Ross Watson's routing works with the site's pronounced natural contours rather than treating the property as flat development land. Changes in elevation, lakes and other terrain features form part of the layout, and the golf course was planned in conjunction with the surrounding residential precincts.
The golf component was accompanied by a substantial clubhouse, reported by the club as a RM50 million facility. It provides golf support facilities alongside swimming pools, meeting and function rooms, a gymnasium and food-and-beverage outlets.
Horizon Hills remains part of the larger Horizon Hills development at Iskandar Puteri. Although positioned as a private country club, published rates include visitor and member-guest categories, allowing non-members to play subject to club booking conditions.
