Makani Golf Club is an 18-hole public-access course on the slopes of Hualālai above Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Perry Dye designed the course, which opened in 1997 and plays to par 72. Published course information gives a maximum length of 7,116 yards, with several shorter teeing options.
The course was formerly known as Big Island Country Club before taking the Makani name. Its elevated inland setting distinguishes it from the lower coastal resort courses around Kona. Water is incorporated into a number of holes, including the par-three 17th with its island-style green.
