Marbella Club Golf Resort is an 18-hole, par-72 course in the hills of Benahavís, approximately 20 minutes by road from the Marbella Club hotel. Former Ryder Cup player and golf architect Dave Thomas designed the course. The official resort gives a total length of 6,247 metres.
Thomas used the steeply changing terrain to create contoured fairways and greens, with bunkers, lakes and other water features incorporated throughout the routing. Play is deliberately restricted compared with a high-volume public course, and golf access is closely tied to the Marbella Club hotel operation, which provides transfers for guests. The golf property also includes a clubhouse and an equestrian centre.
The course is an 18-hole resort golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,247m (6,832 yards). The course was designed by Dave Thomas. It is open to resort guests. On-site facilities include Clubhouse, Restaurant, Golf instruction, Hotel shuttle, Equestrian centre.
Marbella Club commissioned Dave Thomas to create a dedicated golf course away from the beachfront hotel, choosing a hilly site at Benahavís.
Thomas used the site's large elevation changes to shape contoured fairways and protected greens, with strategic bunkering and water features influencing approach angles.
The 18-hole course remains part of the Marbella Club hotel operation, with restricted play and transport available from the hotel.
