Mariners Point is a lighted, 9-hole par-3 golf center on reclaimed bayfront land in Foster City, California, designed by ASGCA architect Bob Cupp and opened in 1996. Built primarily as a teaching and practice facility rather than a traditional course, it plays to a par of 27 over 1,134 yards from the back markers, with a forward tee option shortening the layout to 774 yards for beginners, juniors and shorter hitters.
Every hole is a par 3, ranging from a 90-yard closer up to a 160-yard sixth, making the course a compact but genuine test of iron play and short-game touch rather than length. Because it's fully lit, Mariners Point operates for evening play seven days a week, extending its usefulness well beyond daylight hours in a part of the Bay Area with limited nine-hole options.
