Melbourne Airport Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland club on Operations Road in Tullamarine, Victoria, adjoining Melbourne Airport. The organisation began in 1961 and initially used the name Arundel Golf Club. After land became available on the airport property, architects Eric Horne and Harvie Brown designed the course.
A rough nine-hole West Course opened in August 1966 and the main course opened on December 9, 1967. The club later operated as Tullamarine Country Club before members adopted the Melbourne Airport Golf Club name in 2004. The White course is par 70 and measures 5,746 metres, with a course rating of 70 and slope of 119.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 70, 5,746m, course rating 70 and slope rating 119. Designed by Harvie Brown and Eric Horne, the course originally opened in 1967. It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. On-site facilities include Pro Shop, Club Rental, Buggy Rental, Electric Cart Rental, Clubhouse, Bar, Catering, Function Facilities.
A meeting to form a club was held on September 4, 1961, and the organisation became Arundel Golf Club in 1962. Members initially played elsewhere while seeking land. In 1965, 160 acres on the new Tullamarine airport property became available for lease.
A rough nine-hole West Course opened in August 1966. The principal course followed on December 9, 1967. A permanent clubhouse opened in December 1972, and the club later became Tullamarine Country Club.
Members voted in 2004 to adopt the Melbourne Airport Golf Club name. The club continues beside the airport and welcomes visitor play as well as running regular competitions.
