Moray Golf Club in Lossiemouth is a 36-hole links club comprising two distinct 18-hole courses. The club was formally founded and opened on 30 March 1889. Old Tom Morris laid out the Old Course, initially as 16 holes before additional land allowed it to reach 18.
A separate nine-hole relief course appeared in 1905 and later formed part of the New Course designed by Sir Henry Cotton and opened in 1979. The current official Old Course scorecard lists a 6,717-yard Black men's course rated 73.5/132, with Gold, Blue and Green alternatives. The Old retains a traditional out-and-back links routing and finishes beside the clubhouse in a natural amphitheatre.
The course is a 36-hole links golf course. Designed by Old Tom Morris and Sir Henry Cotton, the course originally opened in 1889. It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. On-site facilities include Pro Shop, Driving Range, Putting Green, Chipping Area, Clubhouse, Bar, Dining.
Moray Golf Club was formally founded and opened on 30 March 1889 on land leased from Captain James Brander of Pitgaveny. Old Tom Morris laid out the original course. It began with 16 holes and reached 18 after additional land was leased.
The Old Course is a traditional out-and-back links routed through coastal ground, with the closing holes returning to a natural amphitheatre beneath the clubhouse.
A nine-hole relief course was created in 1905. Sir Henry Cotton later incorporated that course into a new 18-hole layout, which opened in 1979 and established Moray as a 36-hole club.
The Old Course has appeared in multiple rankings of leading Scottish courses and Golf Digest lists it among Scotland's notable public courses.
Moray continues to operate both the Old and New links at Lossiemouth, with visitors welcomed on both courses.
