Morwell Golf Club Inc

Established in 1908, Morwell Golf Club is one of Gippsland’s longest-standing golf clubs and has earned a reputation as one of the premier golfing destinations in Victoria’s Latrobe Valley. Located in a peaceful pocket on the north-eastern edge of Morwell, the club’s 18-hole championship course winds through gently undulating terrain where mature trees, native birdlife and the occasional kangaroo create a uniquely Australian golfing environment. Over more than a century, the club has continued to develop while preserving its welcoming community atmosphere and enjoyable parkland character. The current clubhouse, opened in 1977, has its own distinctive history, having been constructed from two homes relocated from the former township of Yallourn before the area’s expansion for coal mining.

Measuring 6,079 metres from the championship tees, the par-72 layout rewards accuracy with undulating fairways, excellent year-round greens and approach shots that demand thoughtful course management rather than simply power. Golfers can take advantage of a large practice putting green, practice nets and a 200-metre practice fairway before their round. Morwell Golf Club welcomes both members and visitors, with affordable green fees, cart hire and group bookings available.
