Mount Broughton Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course on Kater Road at Sutton Forest in the New South Wales Southern Highlands. The course opened in 1994 and is credited to Australian professional golfers Frank Phillips and Bill Dunk. Its longest published configuration measures 6,619 yards, while a rated Blue configuration measures 6,299 yards with a course rating of 72 and slope of 122.
The routing crosses undulating inland terrain with natural waterways, rye-grass areas, reed and heather plantings, and large greens designed to support multiple pin positions. Visitors are explicitly welcomed by the club. Current published fees are A$75 for 18 holes walking and A$50 for nine holes, with separate junior rates.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,052m (6,619 yards). Designed by Frank Phillips and Bill Dunk, the course originally opened in 1994. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Grass Practice Tees, Practice Bunker, Chipping Green, Putting Green, Clubhouse, Bar, Dining, and 3 more.
Mount Broughton was developed in the Southern Highlands during the mid-1990s, with Australian championship golfers Frank Phillips and Bill Dunk responsible for the course design. Published course histories date its opening to 1994.
Phillips and Dunk used the property's rolling terrain and natural waterways as central elements of the routing. The club describes large greens of roughly 600 square metres, multiple tee positions and a landscape incorporating rye grasses, waterways, reeds and heather. Although the club uses links terminology in describing its inspiration, the physical setting is inland Southern Highlands terrain.
A historical course directory records that the property came under later ownership and management in 1999. The fundamental Phillips-Dunk routing remains the defining course.
The course has appeared in New South Wales course rankings and is identified by specialist architecture sources as one of the state's notable mid-1990s designs.
Mount Broughton remains open to visitors and operates as an 18-hole, par-72 course with a full-length practice range and short-game facilities.
