Development

A second nine was developed around 1969-70. After the State Housing Department acquired land containing the course in 1976, the club negotiated a new lease. Three replacement holes, today's 13th, 14th and 18th, opened in 1979 and three older holes were abandoned.

In 1980 the club resolved to purchase the golf course for $95,000. A further long-term development plan prepared by Peter Toogood, including a watering system, was adopted in September 1988.
