Paultons Golf Centre near Romsey is centred on an 18-hole, par-71 Championship Course measuring 6,238 yards from the white tees. The club publishes additional overall lengths of 6,011 yards from the yellow tees and 5,591 yards from the red tees. All 18 putting greens were constructed to USGA specification, with drainage designed to reduce the need for temporary greens.
The routing combines relatively open fairways with woodland sections on the former Paultons estate. The golf centre opened as a commercial operation in 1994 on land that had formed part of the historic estate. In addition to the main course, Paultons operates practice and instructional facilities including a TrackMan-equipped driving range, while the clubhouse includes food and beverage service and a professional shop.

The modern golf centre occupies part of the historic Paultons estate near Ower. Hampshire Garden Trust research records that the golf centre opened in 1994 as a separate commercial enterprise after the wider estate had been divided among different uses.
