About Peterhead Golf Club - Craigewan Links

Craigewan Links is Peterhead Golf Club's main 18-hole seaside course on dunes beside the River Ugie and North Sea. Peterhead Golf Club itself dates to 1841, but the present Craigewan course began as a nine-hole layout in 1892 designed by two-time Open champion Willie Park, Jr. It was extended to 18 holes in 1908; golf-architecture sources credit Archie Simpson with that extension.

The modern course is par 70 and measures 6,147 yards from the published white markers. Peterhead also has a separate nine-hole New Course originating from a second 18-hole layout established in 1923, so data from that course should not be merged into this Craigewan record. Visitors are welcomed.

The course is an 18-hole links golf course. It plays to par 70, 6,147 yards. Designed by Willie Park, Jr, the course originally opened in 1892. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Pro shop, Putting green, Clubhouse, Restaurant, Bar, Locker rooms, Showers, Golf instruction.
