Santa Teresa Golf Club is an 18-hole public course at 260 Bernal Road in south San Jose. The regulation layout is a par 71 measuring 6,742 yards from the back tees in the existing verified course record, with a 72.1 rating and 126 slope. George E.
Santana is credited with the original design, and Robert Muir Graves reworked the regulation course in 1982. The property also contains a distinct nine-hole par-27 short course, known as Shorty, which should be treated separately from the regulation layout rather than merged into its scorecard. Santa Teresa publishes daily, afternoon, twilight and super-twilight rates as well as senior, student, junior and Youth on Course pricing.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 71, 6,166m (6,742 yards), course rating 72.1 and slope rating 126. Designed by George E. Santana, the course originally opened in 1960. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Putting Green, Chipping Green, Golf Shop, Golf Lessons, Restaurant, Bar, Golf Carts.
Santa Teresa became part of South San Jose's public-golf landscape around 1960. George E. Santana is credited with the original regulation-course design.
The regulation routing changes character between comparatively open lower ground and the foothill terrain encountered later in the round.
Robert Muir Graves reworked the regulation course in 1982. The facility later added the separate Shorty nine-hole par-27 course, broadening its beginner and short-game offering.
Santa Teresa remains a public daily-fee facility with regulation golf, a short course, range, instruction and extensive age-based pricing.
