Strathfield Golf Club operates an 18-hole course in Sydney's inner west. Its current layout was redesigned by course architect James Wilcher of Golf by Design and the club describes it as a 5,899-metre, par-71 championship layout. The Cooks River runs through the centre of the property: the club states that golfers cross it six times and that it comes into play on another three holes.
Current official ratings list the Blue tees at 5,899 metres, scratch rating 74 and slope 133; White at 5,670 metres, rating 70 and slope 131; and Red at 5,051 metres, rating 73 and slope 130. The redesign incorporates bentgrass putting surfaces, elevated greens and extensive bunker complexes. The club accepts social golf on specified days in addition to its membership and competition program.
