The resort's golf origins date to 1989, when Graham Marsh and Ross Watson designed the original championship courses. Historically The Vines contained the separate Lakes and Ellenbrook 18-hole layouts and staged significant professional tournaments, including the Heineken Classic and Johnnie Walker Classic. Current public golf is available through online bookings, with weekday and weekend green fees published for the Championship 18.

For many years the resort operated two distinct 18-hole courses, Lakes and Ellenbrook. The current resort presentation has changed: it now markets a principal 18-hole Championship course and a separate nine-hole golf course.
The Lakes course appeared in Australian national course rankings and The Vines gained broader recognition through its long association with professional tournament golf.
