Valley of the Moon Course is the 18-hole regulation course at Valley of the Moon Club in Santa Rosa, California. It opened in 1964 as the West Course at the former Oakmont Golf Club and was designed by Ted Robinson Sr. The current official scorecard lists the Blue course at 6,359 yards and par 72; contemporary scorecard data gives a 71.2 rating and slope of 130.
The property also has the separate Sugarloaf Course, an 18-hole par-63 executive layout built in 1973, which is not part of this record. Valley of the Moon is open to public play and offers separate weekday, weekend, nine-hole, afternoon, twilight and senior rates. Practice and service facilities include a driving range, instruction, rental clubs, carts and food and beverage service.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,359 yards, course rating 71.2 and slope rating 130. Designed by Ted Robinson Sr, the course originally opened in 1964. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Social Membership, Driving Range, Golf Lessons, Club Hire, Golf Carts, Push Trolley Hire, Clubhouse, Restaurant, and 1 more.
Ted Robinson Sr. designed the original West Course, which opened in 1964 at Oakmont Golf Club east of Santa Rosa.
A second Robinson course was added in 1973. The property later moved away from the Oakmont Golf Club name, with the former West Course becoming Valley of the Moon and the former East Course becoming Sugarloaf.
Valley of the Moon Course remains the property's regulation par-72 layout and is open to public daily-fee play alongside memberships.
