This Amendoeira Golf Resort database record represents two separate 18-hole, par-72 courses at the same Algarve resort rather than one golf course. The Faldo Course was designed by Sir Nick Faldo and has a published back-tee length of 6,598 metres, while the O'Connor Jnr Course was designed by Christy O'Connor Jnr and extends to 6,708 metres from its longest published tees. Each has its own scorecard, ratings, routing and design identity, so combining their statistics into one set of course fields would be misleading.
The resort also contains a separate floodlit nine-hole par-3 Academy course. The Faldo layout uses more undulating terrain and was conceived as a demanding strategic course, while the O'Connor Jnr course occupies flatter ground and incorporates extensive water features. Shared resort golf facilities include a clubhouse, pro shop, restaurant and bar, driving range, putting greens and long- and short-game practice areas.

Amendoeira was developed as a multi-course golf resort in the Algarve, commissioning Sir Nick Faldo and Christy O'Connor Jnr to create separate championship layouts.
Faldo's course uses the more dramatic and undulating parts of the property and was designed to reward strategic positioning. O'Connor Jnr's course occupies flatter terrain and incorporates numerous water features.
Both 18-hole courses operate independently within the same resort, supported by shared clubhouse, academy, practice and accommodation facilities.
