The River Course is one of two separate 18-hole courses at Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club in Tweed Heads South. It is a public-access parkland course playing to par 72 from the Blue tees. The club's current rating table lists Blue at 5,946 metres with a scratch rating of 72 and slope of 120, and White at 5,712 metres with a scratch rating of 71 and slope of 119.
The women's Red setup measures 5,331 metres, plays to par 73, and is rated 73 with a slope of 127. The River and West courses share the club's Soorley Street clubhouse and practice facilities. Current visitor fees are A$80 for 18 holes, A$45 for nine holes and A$60 after 1pm, with a A$55 Monday and Tuesday special.

On-site facilities include Driving Range, Putting Green, Chipping Area, Bunker Practice, Pro Shop, Club Hire, Pull Buggies, Motorised Carts, and 4 more.
The club states that both River and West were listed in Golf Australia Magazine's 2019 Top 100 Public Access Courses.
The River Course operates alongside the West Course as part of a 36-hole public-access golf complex at Tweed Heads South.
