The River Course at Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club is one of two 18-hole championship courses at the club’s expansive Tweed Heads South property, just south of the Queensland border and around 10 minutes from Gold Coast Airport. Set within a 101-hectare nature reserve alongside the Tweed River, the course offers a traditional parkland experience characterised by established trees, gently undulating to relatively flat fairways, strategic bunkering and numerous water hazards.
From the blue tees, the River Course measures 5,946 metres and plays to par 72, with a scratch rating of 72 and slope rating of 120. White tees measure 5,712 metres at par 72, while additional yellow and red tee options provide alternatives for different players. Although not exceptionally long by modern championship standards, the River rewards thoughtful positioning and accuracy, with water, fairway bunkers and demanding green complexes providing much of its defence.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. The course originally opened in 1932. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Bar, Café, Club Hire, Motorised Carts, Pro Shop, Pull Buggies, Social Membership, Terrace, and 5 more.
