Cumberland Country Golf Club is an 18-hole member and public-access golf club at Greystanes in western Sydney. Golf was first played on the property in 1935 when the privately owned Parramatta Golf Links operated as a nine-hole course. Cumberland Country Club was formed on 24 September 1937 and formally opened the following June.
The most important recent change is the complete realignment and redevelopment of the golf course associated with the club's wider property masterplan. Harrison Golf was engaged in 2022 to develop the design and oversee course works, including new greens and tees, bunkers, fairways, drainage, irrigation, landscaping and new playing corridors. The finished 18-hole layout officially opened on 4 July 2026.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. Designed by Bob Harrison, the course originally opened in 1937. It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. On-site facilities include Practice Facilities, Pro Shop, Golf Cart Hire, Clubhouse, Restaurant, Bar, Function Facilities.
A privately owned nine-hole course called Parramatta Golf Links operated on the site from 1935. Strong local interest led to the formation of Cumberland Country Club on 24 September 1937, and the club was officially opened on 18 June 1938.
The early course was progressively improved from difficult ironstone fairways through grassing, new tees, extensive tree planting, new dams and irrigation. The most significant modern transformation came through the property redevelopment programme. Harrison Golf was engaged in 2022 to redesign and realign the course around the planned development.
Construction included new greens, tees, bunkers, fairways, pathways, drainage, irrigation and landscaping.
The new Cumberland course officially opened on 4 July 2026. The club continues to combine member competition golf with visitor social golf and open events while progressing its broader clubhouse and property redevelopment.
