Edzell Golf Club's Old Course is an 18-hole, par-71 layout in Angus at the gateway to the Angus Glens. Robert Simpson laid out the original course in 1895. In 1933-34 the club implemented recommendations from James Braid, and the resulting routing has remained substantially intact.
More recently Martin Ebert of Mackenzie & Ebert has carried out sympathetic upgrades. The Old Course began with a heathland character, but a major tree-planting programme from the 1960s introduced a stronger parkland element, so the modern course combines both characteristics. The official current rating table lists the blue men's course at 6,577 yards with a 72.0 rating and 126 slope, white at 6,106 yards and 69.9/122, and yellow at 5,619 yards and 67.6/117.
The course is an 18-hole heathland golf course. It plays to par 71, 6,577 yards, course rating 72 and slope rating 126. Designed by Robert Simpson, the course originally opened in 1895. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Pro Shop, Clubhouse, West Water Course.

In 1933-34 the course was amended following recommendations by James Braid. A large-scale tree-planting programme began in the 1960s, giving parts of the property a more parkland appearance. Martin Ebert later made sympathetic upgrades.
In 2001 Graeme Webster's nine-hole West Water Course opened alongside the Old Course.
The Old Course remains the principal 18-hole layout at Edzell, complemented by the nine-hole West Water Course and a covered driving range.
