Maesdu Golf Club, formally Llandudno Golf Club (Maesdu), is an 18-hole course in Llandudno combining parkland and links-influenced terrain. The club was founded in 1915 after the town council acquired the former Maesdu Estate to provide local golf and attract visitors to the seaside resort. James Braid was employed to advise on the layout, and club professional Tom Jones later helped Braid expand and develop it into an 18-hole course.
The current men's Gold configuration measures 6,448 yards, carries a 71.1 course rating and 132 slope, and plays to par 71. Silver is rated 69.8/127 and Bronze 67.8/122. The routing has an unusual division caused by Deganwy Road: the road was only a footpath when the course was being planned in the early 1920s, explaining why the first two and last two holes sit apart from the central fourteen.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 71, 5,896m (6,448 yards), course rating 71.1 and slope rating 132. Designed by James Braid and Tom Jones, the course originally opened in 1915. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Pro Shop, Restaurant, Clubhouse.
Maesdu Golf Club was founded in 1915 after Llandudno's town council bought the former Maesdu Estate. The council wanted both to provide golf for the local community and to strengthen Llandudno's appeal as a seaside destination. James Braid was engaged to advise on the layout.
Club professional Tom Jones worked with Braid as Maesdu expanded and developed into an 18-hole semi-parkland, semi-links course. Jones also introduced the September Open Meeting in 1922, establishing a series of club competitions.
The club now plays an 18-hole course with Gold, Silver and Bronze men's tees carrying WHS course and slope ratings.
