Prestatyn Golf Club is a traditional 18-hole links on the North Wales coast. The club was founded in 1905 and Fred Collins of Llandudno laid out an 18-hole course along the foreshore at Barkby Beach, with the full layout in play by November 1906. The current White course measures 6,564 yards, plays to par 72 and is rated 72.3 with slope 132.
The Yellow tees measure 6,246 yards at 69.2/112. The site covers low-lying coastal links ground where wind is a persistent strategic factor. Prestatyn has hosted Welsh championship golf and remains open to visiting golfers.
The course is an 18-hole links golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,564 yards, course rating 72.3 and slope rating 132. Designed by Fred Collins, the course originally opened in 1905. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Practice Facilities, Clubhouse, Bar.
Prestatyn Golf Club was established in 1905. Fred Collins of Llandudno was invited to lay out an 18-hole course on foreshore links land at Barkby Beach, and the first competition over the completed layout was played in November 1906.
The original course used the natural coastal links terrain, with wind and firm seaside ground integral to play.
Prestatyn remains an 18-hole par-72 links course open to visitors and continues to operate on the North Wales foreshore.
