Laranjal is Quinta do Lago's 18-hole, par-72 course in the Ludo Valley near Almancil. It opened in 2009 on land formerly occupied by an orange grove and was designed by Portuguese golf architect Jorge Santana da Silva. The course differs geographically from Quinta do Lago's North and South courses, sitting roughly two kilometres east of the main resort golf complex.
Its routing crosses rolling ground and incorporates five lakes, with narrower playing corridors than the resort's older courses. Laranjal received early recognition when it won the Best Golf Course award at the 2011 Portuguese Travel Awards. Practice and visitor facilities associated with the course include a driving range, putting and chipping greens, golf academy, pro shop and food-and-beverage facilities.
