Rockley Golf & Country Club is a compact parkland course in Christ Church, Barbados. The present course has nine physical holes with alternative tees that allow it to be played as an 18-hole, par-70 round measuring 5,610 yards. The club describes the terrain as flat, with out-of-bounds affecting every hole and trees positioned on or around fairways and greens.
Its history is considerably older than the current nine-hole configuration: golf at Rockley traces back to the 1920s, and the club marked its centenary in 2026. The earlier course eventually closed as members moved to the new Barbados Golf Club project at Durants. Developers acquired Rockley in 1975, incorporated residential development around the property and brought golf back with a new nine-hole course in 1980.
The course is a 9-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 70, 5,130m (5,610 yards). The course originally opened in 1980. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include clubhouse, pro shop, club rental, golf carts, pull carts.
Rockley's golf history reaches into the 1920s. A private members' club developed around the course, and Rockley was for decades a central part of organised golf in Barbados.
The original club went through major change in the 1970s. Membership moved toward the new course at Durants and Rockley closed. Developers acquired the property in 1975 and residential construction changed the site substantially.
Golf returned in 1980 with the present nine-hole configuration surrounded by condominium development. The associated hotel and course later encountered further financial difficulties, with the hotel/course operation folding in 2003. Members and property owners subsequently organised to preserve the golf facility, ultimately purchasing it through a shareholder structure in 2016.
Rockley celebrated 100 years of golf history in 2026, marked by publication of a commemorative history written by former club captain J. Clarence Hiles.
The current club operates a nine-hole parkland course with alternative tees for an 18-hole round and accepts visitor tee-time reservations.
