The Legends Golf & Country Resort in Kulai, Johor, contains two separate golf layouts rather than one conventional 18-hole course. Jack Nicklaus designed the original 18-hole championship course, a par-72 layout of about 6,710 metres/7,338 yards that became fully operational in 1997. Arnold Palmer later designed an additional nine-hole course measuring about 3,326 metres, opened in 2009.
Together they give the resort 27 holes. The distinction matters for database purposes because yardages and scorecards for the Nicklaus and Palmer layouts should not be combined into a single 27-hole card. The Malaysian Golf Association lists the resort at Lot 1302, Kebun Sedenak in Kulai and provides club contact details.
The course is a 27-hole resort golf course. The course was designed by Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Pro shop, Clubhouse.
The resort project was developed in the 1990s, with the first nine holes of the Nicklaus course completed and opened in April 1997. The full 18-hole Nicklaus course followed in July 1997.
The main course is an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus design, while the later nine holes were created by Arnold Palmer. The two architects' work constitutes separate layouts and should be treated accordingly in scorecard data.
The principal expansion came in 2009 when the Arnold Palmer nine-hole course opened, taking the golf offering from 18 to 27 holes.
The Nicklaus course received regional recognition after opening, including Johor rankings reported by Malaysian golf media.
The Legends remains a multi-course golf resort in Kulai, with the 18-hole Nicklaus and nine-hole Palmer layouts.
