About The Players Club - Codrington Course

The Codrington is the principal championship course at The Players Club near Chipping Sodbury. The club's current online scorecard totals 7,022 yards and par 70, although another section of its website still describes a 7,106-yard par-72 course, so the current scorecard has been given precedence. The layout uses USGA-standard greens and has hosted professional and elite qualifying golf.

Matthew Ford set a course record of 63 during the 2009 EuroPro Motocaddy Masters when the course was playing 7,045 yards; Jamie Abbott later recorded 61 in the 2014 Jamega Tour Players Masters, a score equalled by Callum Farr during 2024 DP World Tour Q-School Stage 1. The Players Club also contains the separate Stranahan and Watergarden courses, so their data should not be merged with Codrington.

The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 70, 6,421m (7,022 yards). The course was designed by Adrian Stiff. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Clubhouse, Pro Shop, Practice Facilities, Accommodation, Junior Membership, Corporate Membership.
