Golf Course Architect
Adrian Stiff is a British golf course architect principally active in England, known for designing and renovating numerous courses throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. His work displays a strong affinity for working with natural landscapes—including parkland settings and former landfill sites—and delivering strategic, varied playing experiences across abilities.
His notable projects include the original loops at Cumberwell Park Golf Club (Bradford‑on‑Avon), as well as Forest Hills, Erlestoke, Oake Manor, St Cleres Hall, The Kendleshire, The Players Club, Dainton Park, and Stranahan course. Stiff also formed design partnerships such as SAS Golf Design with Ben Stephens around 2012.
His Cumberwell designs, beginning in 1994, have been praised for blending rolling countryside, water features, and woodland into accessible, diverse nine‑hole layouts.
