Golf Course Architect
Donald Leslie Harradine (born 1911 in Enfield, north London; died 26 September 1996 in Caslano, Switzerland) was a self‑taught golf course architect who built and remodeled hundreds of courses across continental Europe. Emerging from early experiences assisting his stepfather in Switzerland, he developed a pragmatic and landscape‑sensitive design style, adept at working with challenging sites under tight budgets.
After World War II he settled in Caslano and continued a prolific career through the mid‑1980s, co‑founding professional bodies including the British Association of Golf Course Architects and the International Greenkeepers’ Association.
