Kyle Phillips

Golf Course Architect

Kyle Phillips is an American golf course architect who graduated in landscape architecture from Kansas State University in 1981 and began his career with Robert Trent Jones II in California, eventually becoming vice president and golf architect. In 1997, he founded his own firm, Kyle Phillips Golf Course Design, and has since created acclaimed modern links and heathland-style courses across more than 30 countries, often emphasizing natural landforms and classic strategic design principles.

His notable works include Kingsbarns Golf Links and Dundonald Links in Scotland, both celebrated for their dramatic terrain and modern links character.
