Al Mouj Golf is an 18-hole, par-72 coastal course in Muscat designed by Greg Norman Golf Course Design. The first nine holes opened on 1 December 2011 as part of the development then widely known as The Wave, with the second nine following as the project reached its full championship configuration. Published course references list a back-tee length of 7,342 yards.
The routing follows roughly two kilometres of coastline and uses natural dunes, sandy waste areas and the exposed coastal setting while retaining views toward the Al Hajar Mountains. Visitors are accepted, with advance tee-time booking available. Alongside the championship course, Al Mouj has a floodlit nine-hole par-3 academy course, driving range, golf academy, pro shop and restaurant.
The course is an 18-hole links golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,713m (7,342 yards). Designed by Greg Norman, the course originally opened in 2011. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Café, Driving Range, Golf Academy, Pro Shop, Restaurant, Junior Membership, Country Membership, Par 3 Course.
Golf was planned as a major sporting component of The Wave, the large waterfront development now known as Al Mouj Muscat. Greg Norman visited the site in 2006 and his design team subsequently developed the championship routing. The first nine holes opened on 1 December 2011, with the second nine forming the completed championship course thereafter.
Norman's team studied the site's topography and weather and sought to retain the relationship between the course, the coastline and the Al Hajar Mountains. The resulting routing is links-style rather than a heavily tree-lined inland layout, with natural dunes and coastal exposure forming important parts of its character.
The golf operation expanded beyond the championship course to include a floodlit par-3 academy course, practice and teaching facilities, retail and dining. The club has announced a new clubhouse scheduled for 2026 with a golf shop, restaurant, indoor padel, gym, event space and an upgraded TopTracer driving-range component.
Al Mouj has repeatedly been highly ranked in regional golf-course lists and the club states that it has been named the best golf course in Oman for eight years. It has also received environmental accreditations and reports more than 170 bird species associated with the property.
Al Mouj Golf operates as a visitor-accessible championship venue within the Al Mouj Muscat development, alongside its membership programme, academy, practice facilities and par-3 course.
