Country Club Tasmania at Prospect Vale near Launceston is completing a $20 million redevelopment of its championship golf course. The original course opened in 1982 and was designed by Peter Thomson and Michael Wolveridge. For the current project, all 18 holes have been redesigned and rebuilt by Australian golf-course architect and shaper Robin Gibson.
The new layout is an 18-hole, par-72 parkland course scheduled to open in December 2026. It retains mature trees and the property's lake while adding extensive waterways, stone bridges, new greens, bunkers and sand-capped fairways. Country Club Tasmania has already opened The Range, a 28-bay undercover Toptracer facility, together with an 18-hole mini-golf course designed separately by Richard Chamberlain.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. Designed by Peter Thomson and Mike Wolveridge, the course originally opened in 1982. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Toptracer Range, Golf Lessons, Mini Golf, Pro Shop, Restaurant, Bar, Hotel, and 5 more.

The resort later committed approximately $20 million to a complete golf redevelopment. Robin Gibson was commissioned to rebuild all 18 holes, while a separate 28-bay Toptracer range and 18-hole Richard Chamberlain mini-golf course opened as part of the wider project.
The new par-72 Championship Golf Course is scheduled to open in December 2026. Tee-time bookings and Australian and international visitor pricing are already live.
