Double Pin is one of the ten courses at Mission Hills Haikou and is an 18-hole par-three layout measuring 1,921 yards. Its defining design feature is literal: every green carries two pin positions, with one intended to provide a more accessible target and the other a more demanding option. The course uses an arboretum-style landscape rather than the extensive lava fields of several other Haikou layouts.
Mission Hills credits Brian Curley and Schmidt-Curley Design with the Haikou courses; the design firm created and built all ten layouts at the resort. Double Pin is intended to work for beginners and families while allowing stronger players to use the harder pins for iron and short-game practice. It is distinct from the resort's other short par-three course, Stepping Stone.
The course is an 18-hole golf course. It plays to par 54, 1,757m (1,921 yards). The course was designed by Schmidt & Curley and Brian Curley. It is open to resort guests. On-site facilities include Clubhouse, Golf Shop, Practice Facilities, Golf Academy, Club Rental, Locker Rooms, Restaurants, Resort Accommodation.
Double Pin was created as one of the ten Schmidt-Curley layouts at Mission Hills Haikou, a golf complex built across volcanic terrain on Hainan.
The design adapts an 18-hole par-three format around a two-pin concept, allowing the same green to offer different levels of difficulty.
Double Pin remains the 1,921-yard par-54 course within Mission Hills Haikou's ten-course collection.
