Did You Know?
The course began as nine holes before being expanded to its present 18-hole configuration.

Design Philosophy

The course occupies rolling ground in the hills above Ocho Rios, reaching roughly 700 feet above sea level. Its relatively modest overall yardage is offset by elevation changes, narrow fairways and drop-offs.

Development

The original nine-hole course was subsequently expanded to 18 holes. It later became part of Sandals' Jamaican golf offering and is now marketed under both Sandals Golf & Country Club and Upton Estate Golf & Country Club.

Today

Sandals operates the course as part of its Ocho Rios resort golf programme. Paying outside play is advertised, while guests at participating Sandals and Beaches resorts receive complimentary green fees. Practice facilities, putting and chipping greens, a pro shop and food facilities are available.
