Cinnamon Hill is one of the two courses operated under the Rose Hall Golf name in Montego Bay. The course occupies land that has hosted golf since 1969, when Hank Smedley designed the former Wyndham Rose Hall course. Robert von Hagge and Rick Baril later carried out a substantial redesign completed in 2001, creating the layout now presented as Cinnamon Hill.
The routing combines low-lying holes close to Jamaica's north coast with inland holes that climb into the hills of the historic Rose Hall property. Rose Hall's official site identifies von Hagge and Baril as the designers of the current course and operates Cinnamon Hill alongside the separate White Witch Golf Course. The property is owned by Rose Hall (Developments) Limited.
The course is an 18-hole resort golf course. Designed by Hank Smedley, the course originally opened in 1969. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Pro shop, Rental clubs, Caddies.
Golf on the Cinnamon Hill site dates to 1969, when Hank Smedley designed the course then associated with the Wyndham Rose Hall property. Its routing used contrasting parts of the Rose Hall estate, beginning on lower coastal ground before moving inland into higher terrain.
The modern course is principally associated with Robert von Hagge and Rick Baril. Their redesign retained the site's unusual transition between coastal and elevated inland terrain while substantially reshaping the earlier course.
The original course underwent a major redesign in 2001 by Robert von Hagge and Rick Baril. Historical accounts record subsequent name changes before the course became known as Cinnamon Hill. It is now operated together with the separate White Witch Golf Course under the Rose Hall Golf identity.
Cinnamon Hill is owned by Rose Hall (Developments) Limited and is operated as one of Rose Hall Golf's two distinct courses. Rose Hall offers public tee-time booking, group golf, rental clubs and related golf services.
