Tura Beach Country Club is an 18-hole public-access championship course at 4 The Fairway, Tura Beach, on the New South Wales Far South Coast. Peter Thomson and Mike Wolveridge designed the course for an AVJennings residential development, Australia's first purpose-built integrated golf-course and housing project. Construction began in 1981; the first nine opened in June 1982 and the second nine followed in February 1984.
The current official course summary lists men's configurations at par 69 or 70 and women's at par 73 or 74, with a maximum published length of 5,772 metres and men's ACR/slope of 70/128. The routing moves from coastal terrain near the beach into steeper eucalyptus forest. Visitors can play social golf seven days a week and can enter competitions with a current GolfLink handicap.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to 5,772m, course rating 70 and slope rating 128. Designed by Peter Thomson and Mike Wolveridge, the course originally opened in 1982. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Pro Shop, Golf Lessons, Practice Green, Practice Nets, Golf Carts, Bistro, Bar, Function Rooms, and 2 more.
AVJennings announced the Tura Beach development in 1981 as a purpose-built residential project centred on a golf course. Peter Thomson and Mike Wolveridge were engaged to design the layout.
The routing deliberately combines two contrasting landscapes: flatter coastal holes near the beach and a second section climbing through mature eucalyptus forest.
Work began in 1981. The first nine opened in June 1982, and the second nine followed in February 1984, completing the 18-hole course.
Golf Australia ranked Tura Beach No. 83 among Australia's Top 100 Public Access Courses for 2023, and the club has regularly hosted professional, elite junior and regional events.
