Education City Golf Club's nine-hole course is the floodlit par-3 layout at the club's 120-hectare golf facility in Education City. It is separate from José María Olazábal's 18-hole Championship Course and the six-hole Championship Course, although all three were created as part of the same 33-hole development. The club opened in 2019 under the patronage of Qatar Foundation.
The nine-hole course is walking-only and is specifically positioned for short-game golf, beginners, families and evening play. Floodlighting allows it to operate after sunset, and the club runs night-golf activity on the layout. The wider Education City facility includes the Centre of Excellence, golf instruction, a TrackMan-equipped driving range, practice facilities, clubhouse services and equipment rental.
The course is a 9-hole golf course. Designed by José María Olazábal, the course originally opened in 2019. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Floodlights, Driving range, TrackMan range, Centre of Excellence, Golf academy, Putting green, Short game practice area, Golf club rental, and 8 more.
The nine-hole course was conceived as one component of Qatar Foundation's broader Education City Golf Club project. José María Olazábal designed 33 holes across three separate layouts: an 18-hole Championship Course, a six-hole Championship Course and this nine-hole par-3 course. The facility began operating in 2019.
The par-3 layout was designed to complement the longer championship courses by providing a shorter, accessible format suited to learning and short-game practice. Floodlighting and a walking-only format distinguish it from the main course and support evening use.
Education City Golf Club's development placed golf instruction alongside the courses through its Centre of Excellence and extensive practice facilities. Platinum TE Paspalum was used throughout the golf property as a drought-tolerant turf choice.
The nine-hole par-3 remains a distinct bookable course. It operates under lights and has its own published green-fee schedule, while sharing Education City Golf Club's academy, range and clubhouse infrastructure.
