Doha Golf Club's Championship Course is an 18-hole, par-72 Peter Harradine design in Doha and the principal course of the club's 27-hole complex. The current official Gold-tee scorecard measures 7,437 yards, with additional Blue, White, Yellow and Red configurations. The course was constructed during the mid-1990s and Qatar Golf Association records the club's inception on 4 January 1997.
Harradine's routing incorporates two starting and finishing points, allowing operational flexibility around the returning nines. The desert-site design includes artificial lakes, limestone formations and established landscaping. Doha Golf Club has been closely associated with professional tournament golf since the inaugural Qatar Masters in 1998.

Doha Golf Club was built during Qatar's transition from traditional sand-course golf to permanent grass golf. Construction was under way by 1995, and Qatar Golf Association records the club's inception on 4 January 1997. Peter Harradine designed the 27-hole property.
Harradine used the flat desert site to create a long championship course punctuated by artificial lakes, limestone formations and planted vegetation. The returning-nine arrangement incorporated two starting and finishing points. The club identifies the short par-4 16th, built around an existing rock formation or jebel, as a particularly distinctive example of the design.
The course quickly became Qatar's main international tournament venue. The inaugural Qatar Masters was staged here in 1998, won by Andrew Coltart. The tournament later moved temporarily to Education City Golf Club before returning to Doha Golf Club.
Its long association with the Qatar Masters has made the Championship Course one of Qatar's most internationally visible sporting venues.
The course remains the championship centrepiece of Doha Golf Club and hosts the DP World Tour's Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. Members and visitors play from five principal tee configurations, with current WHS ratings published by the club.
